This law was approved by insistence, without due debate, with unjustified haste and with the absence of the main actors, which are the regional governments,&#8221; he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, Arce Saavedra questioned the fact that this amendment has not gone through a process of prior consultation with the indigenous peoples that form part of these natural resources, in contravention of Convention 169 of the International Labor Organization, an international treaty signed by the Peruvian State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;So, if we are contravening these international treaties, what can we expect afterwards? In this sense, he asked the Central Government to allocate more funding to mitigate and contain the causes of deforestation in the Amazon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our governor, being president of the Amazon Regional Commonwealth, is really concerned about this situation (&#8230;) It is incredible that we have not understood until now that the Amazon is the rainfall reserve of all Peru. And not only of Peru, but of South America.
