The Colleges of Journalists of the Amazon regions will participate.   <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lima, May 2, 2024. <\/strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fcds.org.pe\/proyectos\/unidos-por-los-bosques\/\">United for Forests<\/a> initiative of the Foundation for Conservation and Sustainable Development (FCDS-Peru) together with the National Communications Coordinator (CNC) will hold a virtual forum to analyze and propose alternatives to the expansion of environmental crimes in the Peruvian Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Forum &#8220;What is the relationship between deforestation and environmental crimes?&#8221; will be held this Friday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m. virtually through the FCDS-Peru Facebook page. This virtual event will be attended by the regional deans of the Journalists&#8217; Associations of Amazonas, Hu\u00e1nuco, Loreto, Madre de Dios, San Mart\u00edn and Ucayali.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Guest speakers include the High Commissioner for Illegal Mining, Rodolfo Garc\u00eda; the intendant of the Financial Intelligence Unit&#8217;s (FIU) Operational Analysis Department, Daniel Linares; specialists from the Ministry of the Environment&#8217;s National Forest Program, Daniel Castillo and Rudy Valdivia; the director of the FCDS-Peru&#8217;s United for Forests initiative, Mariano Castro; and the technical specialist of the aforementioned initiative, Mart\u00edn Arana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Environmental crimes are all those illegal economic activities that cause or may cause damage, alteration or serious harm to the environment, its ecological processes or its different components: water, soil, air, flora and wildlife. Among the main crimes are illegal logging, illegal mining, illegal trafficking of species, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this line, this virtual forum seeks to contribute to the analysis of the problem of deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon, with the intention of promoting effective attention to these environmental problems and propose alternatives that allow the sustainable development of the Amazon regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lima, May 2, 2024.
