With the presentation of a social spot, whose concept was defined by young people from various Amazon regions, the <a href=\"https:\/\/fcds.org.pe\/proyectos\/unidos-por-los-bosques\/\">United for Forests<\/a> initiative of the Foundation for Conservation and Sustainable Development (FCDS-Peru) launched in Iquitos the &#8220;Youth United for Forests&#8221; campaign, which seeks to promote informed awareness and motivate collective action towards the adoption of measures to reduce deforestation and ensure the sustainability of the Amazon forests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This campaign, driven by young people for young people, aims to present in an accessible and clear way the links between forest conservation and its impact on people&#8217;s quality of life. The aim is to improve information on the importance of valuing and conserving Peru&#8217;s forests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the campaign, young people from Loreto, Lima, Amazonas, Madre de Dios, San Martin and Ucayali participated in the elaboration of different thematic videos, including the social spot for the launching of this campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the young people who participated in this stage of the campaign and is a member of the Ucayali Anti-Corruption Forest Network, Sabina Arenales, considered that this will help strengthen their capacities and coordinate with other youth and indigenous organizations to raise awareness of the problems in the Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Young people are the ones who are in a race against time to save what little we still have left on the planet. They are the ones who will occupy decision-making positions and can possibly become agents of change in their localities, so empowering them is very significant. We need this force to be converted into vigilance and control action in favor of our forests,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube radio products, photography contests and the painting of murals in the Amazon regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part, the director of United for Forests of the FCDS-Peru, Mariano Castro, stressed that &#8220;Amazonian youth are not only concerned about the serious damage that is occurring in various areas of the Amazon, but also raise their voices with their proposals and demands to ensure Intergenerational Environmental Justice, i.e. that the decisions taken are also responsible with future generations&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images
