The infographic summarizes the findings of a situational diagnosis on the progress and impact of mining activity in the Amazon regions of Loreto, San Martin, Amazonas, Ucayali, Madre de Dios and the province of Puerto Inca, in Huanuco. In these regions, mining is one of the growing drivers of deforestation in the Peruvian Amazon, affecting forests, biodiversity, human health and safety, social peace and governance.
